31st Mango Mela Features Over 300 Varieties of mangoes

CM Nayab Singh said that the state government is providing training to encourage farmers to adopt organic farming so that they can increase their income through organic farming.The Chief Minister was addressing people today at the 31st Edition of ‘Mango Mela’ held at Yadavindra Gardens in Pinjore.
The Chief Minister mentioned that the central government has allocated a separate budget to promote natural farming. The state government is also advancing this objective. He noted that through the fair, farmers would have the opportunity to adopt modern technology for organic farming. He urged farmers to adopt organic farming to bring prosperity to their lives and the lives of the citizens.
The Chief Minister noted that the government organizes the Mango Mela annually. This fair provides people with the opportunity to enjoy different varieties of mango. Over 300 varieties of mangoes were showcased at the fair, he added.
The Chief Minister visited every mango stall at the fair, gathering detailed information about them. The Chief Minister participated in cultural programs and honored the participants. He presented a memento to renowned musician Sh. Subhash Ghosh in recognition of his contributions.
